🥫 How to store leftover chicken and dumplings
Easy crockpot chicken recipes like this one always seem to go quickly in my house, but if you have leftovers, you can refrigerate them for up to three days. Just make sure to seal them in an airtight container, first.
To reheat the chicken and dumplings casserole, spoon it into a microwave-safe dish and heat it until warm.
Alternatively, freeze leftovers in freezer-proof bags for up to three months. Let thaw in the refrigerator before microwaving, or heat a large quantity on the stove.

👩🍳 FAQs
Sure, almost any can of biscuits from the grocery store's refrigerated section will work. You can even use crescent roll dough if it's all you can find. However, don't use Hawaiian rolls or any sweetened variety.
If you can't find either soup in the store, you can substitute with cream of mushroom. The dish will still taste great, but the flavor will change slightly.
I don't recommend simply swapping out the soup for cream, as the flavor won't be as deep and the texture will change dramatically. Plus, occasionally, too much dairy in the crockpot can curdle. Though they contain dairy, the condensed soups are thickened and set to prevent separation.

This is one of my most favorite recipes!! Tones makes a grinder spice of Rosemary and Garlic that I roll the biscuit dough in before I drop it into the crockpot, gives it just such an amazing flavor! This is my go to whenever I have a cold or I am sick. Just such a comforting feel good recipe! ❤️❤️❤️

I made this yesterday. It was really good! I wish I had added less of the biscuits (I put the edges & all in the crockpot after rolling and cutting my squares). I also added more seasoning salt and black pepper to my bowl after it was done. Overall, very filling comfort food! Thank you for the recipe!
