We celebrate a couple of fun food holidays this week. They're silly little holidays but it gives us an opportunity to make some memories and have some fun!

Alabama Slammer

Give the Alabama Slammer a try this weekend. This beautiful, bright red cocktail is kind of like Hawaiian Punch for adults.

💭 Tips for success

If there are deviled chicken leftovers cut them up and add them to a big, crunchy salad for lunch.
Or you can use it in the King Ranch Chicken Casserole.
Put a scoop of vanilla ice cream between two of the lavender cookies for yummy ice cream sandwiches.
Cucumbers in sour cream make a great sandwich filling. It may sound weird but try it if you have leftovers.
I love fried green tomatoes on burgers, try it!
Banana pudding yogurt parfaits can be made well ahead of time in jelly jars, covered with a screw on lid, and kept in the fridge for a grab and go breakfast or snack.

Deviled Chicken

This vintage recipe is still a winner in my book! Deviled Chicken has a crispy breadcrumb coating with just a little kick. The bone-in chicken breast stays moist and tender.
