Lavender Lemonade

- 2 ½ cups water
- 1 ½ cups sugar
- ¼ cup lavender buds
- 2 ½ cups water
- 1 cup lemon juice
- 12 to 16 oz of vodka or Absolut Citron Vodka
- Lemon slices
Instructions
- Bring 2 ½ cups water and sugar to a boil.
- Heat until sugar dissolves.
- Remove from heat and add the lavender.
- Allow to come to room temperature.
- Strain the lavender out of the lavender syrup.
- You've just. made lavender simple syrup. You can cover and refrigerate for 2 weeks or so at this point.
- Add the last 2 ½ cups of water, lemon juice, and vodka.
- Stir.
- Add sliced lemon.
- Serve over ice in tall glasses.
Notes
May substitute Moscato for Vodka for a sparkling beverage
