Restless Chipotle is part of Restless Chipotle Media, LLC located just south of Dallas, Texas.
In the South, a meal is never just a meal. It's an expression of love, a symbol of community, and an invitation to sit down and stay awhile. 🍍🍍
Southern hospitality isn't just about politeness; it's woven into the very fabric of our way of life, where every dish tells a story of generosity and warmth.
By sharing my recipes, I aim to bring a piece of that tradition into your kitchens. Whether it's through a hearty pot of gumbo that simmers with the promise of shared stories or a batch of buttermilk biscuits ready to be passed around the table, each recipe is crafted with the hope of not just feeding bodies but also nourishing souls.
Here, we don't just share recipes; we share a piece of our heritage, creating new memories and honoring old ones. So, pull up a chair, grab a plate, and let's keep the spirit of Southern hospitality alive, one meal at a time
Hey Y'all! I'm Marye
I'm the mom of 8 kids and I've cooked breakfast, lunch, and dinner 365 days a year for decades.
I live with 3 dogs, 2 cats, 4 grown kids, and a very patient husband in a 115-year-old house (which may or may not be slightly haunted).
I totally understand the exhausted, guilty mom feels that can be overwhelming.
I've cooked dinner while holding teething babies, while helping kids with math, and while feeling so stressed from the weight of life that I didn't think I could continue another minute.
I cooked as a newly single mom (who hadn't been employed in 30 years) trying not to panic at my lack of income.
But I still wanted those legendary family dinners, that connection around the table, that feeling of adulting like a champ.
And I did it... and you can, too.
Nothing fazes me & together we're going to get the kind of meals on your table that you (and your family) have been dreaming of.
Here on Restless Chipotle you'll find vintage Southern recipes and old-fashioned family favorites that I've updated to be quick & easy for busy families like yours.
Browse hundreds of ideas for family-friendly comfort foods -decadent desserts, cozy breads, & more...all with detailed step-by-step photos and tutorials so they come out perfectly every time!

Our Team
Restless Chipotle has grown so much since 2006!
Not only has it undergone a name change (anyone remember Baking Delights?) but over a million readers every month peruse the recipes here. Oh yeah, I still write a bunch of the posts, I still photograph a bunch of them, too!
I have a team that helps make sure that the recipes work, the images are gorgeous, and every possible question you could have is answered.
None of this would be possible without them. It leaves me time to develop the recipes that you love here on Restless Chipotle.

Bisous and Toby, Official Taste-testers
Bisous and Toby showed up at our house one morning just skin and bones, abused, and nearly dead. They had been dropped off on our street. Rescue dogs are my favorite breed and Toby and Bee do a fabulous job of taste testing.
Lexis Hershey, Writer
Lexis lives in Cleveland, Ohio, and loves to write, cook, bake, and take photos. If she's not behind a computer or camera—or covered in flour—you can find her walking the dog by the lake or traveling with her husband, Max.
