🗝️ Key takeaways: why this recipe is your new favorite
- This lavender punch is not only beautiful and aromatic but also incredibly refreshing. The combination of floral lavender with bubbly ginger ale and tangy citrus makes for a delightful and unique drink.
- Perfect for brunches, bridal showers, summer parties, or any time you want to offer something a non-alcoholic punch option to your guests.
- Once you know how to infuse lavender into the punch you can use other herbs like basil, lemongrass, or rose.
It is really important to get a good ginger ale. If you are used to the insipid flavors of most commercial brands I'd like to introduce you to Reeds Jamaican Ginger ale.
It has real ginger flavor and a little bite - delicious.
If you can't get Reeds then get Vernors. As far as conventional ginger ales go it is absolutely the most flavorful that I have found... And no, they didn't pay me to say that.
Lavender simple syrup is easy to make and keep on hand for all kinds of drinks.

🤫 Marye's secret for zhuzhing it up -
The color can vary according to the lavender buds. Add a few drops of purple food coloring (or a couple of drops of red and a couple of drops of blue) to enhance the lavender color and make your punch look even more stunning.
zhuzh: verb. To make something more interesting or attractive

🥫 Leftover love: how to store
Store leftover punch in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. It will lose its fizz over time.
Marye's Tip o' the day
BEWARE too much lavender can taste like you licked your grandmother's perfume bottle. Be careful about adding more lavender to make it stronger.
💭 Insider tips: things to know
- Use culinary-grade lavender to ensure it's safe for consumption.
- Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less sugar to taste.
- For a stronger lavender flavor, let the syrup steep longer before straining or use an extra teaspoon or two of lavender.

Sure! You can make it a day or two ahead of time. Add the ginger ale just before serving.
If you're growing lavender and it hasn't been sprayed with insecticide then sure! Be aware that fresh lavender can be stronger than dried so use a little less.
That's easy! Just make a bit more simple syrup without lavender and use it to dilute the lavender syrup.
It sure is, unless you add alcohol yourself. There's no booze in this recipe.
⏲️ Marye's time saving hacks -
Make a double batch of lavender syrup and freeze it in ice cube trays. Use the cubes to quickly chill and flavor your punch.
